Edward J Zibkowski, Jr., passed away in Enid, Oklahoma, on February 25, 2020. Ed was born in Gardner, Massachusetts in 1938. He attended Gardner schools. In 1957, he graduated from Gardner High, where he had been a member of the swim team. He served briefly in the US Army, then returned to Gardner to marry his teenage sweetheart, Dorothy Vadney. The couple had one daughter, Joanne.
Ed spent over thirty years working for MIT Lincoln Laboratory in Lexington, MA, before retiring.
He later moved to Oklahoma to be with family, but continued his loyalty to all things Massachusetts, including his beloved Red Sox, Patriots, and Bruins. He loved fishing, music, and playing harmonica.
Ed was preceded in death by his parents and wife Dorothy. He is survived by siblings June Nichols and David Zibkowski of Massachusetts, daughter Joanne Zelenski and husband Warren, of Enid, Oklahoma, granddaughters Christine Hicks, Catherine Zelenski, and Colleen Zelenski, and one great-grandson.
