Betty Ruth (Tate) Younger

Betty Ruth (Tate) Younger
June 27, 1935 ~ November 15, 2021

Betty (Tate) Younger was born on June 27th, 1935 at her family’s home in Kel Hollar, Adair County, Oklahoma. She married Junior Younger on June 16, 1953.

Betty is survived by her eldest son, Gary Younger and wife Ernestine; her youngest daughter, Retha Younger, whom she lived with, and her youngest son, Kenneth Younger and wife Genese. Her grandchildren, Wes Mullen and wife Crystal, D J Younger and wife Jennifer, Tina Atchison and husband Daniel, Tamra Younger, Gina Suhan and husband Shaun. She had many great grandkids.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Junior and oldest daughter, Susie Keys.

Betty was the best Mom and stayed home with the kids. To make ends meet, she did have to work outside the home a couple times. She worked at Deny Container for a short time in 1964. She also worked at La-Z-boy for about 8 years. She was the “mushroom queen”. Her favorite pastime was hunting mushrooms and listening to southern gospel music.

Funeral Service was held 10:00 AM, Friday, November 19, 2021 in the Roberts & Hart Chapel, Westville, OK.
