Inge (Lemke) Young

Nov 19, 1921 ~ Aug 29, 2000

Memorial services for Inge Young, 78, of Midwest City were held at 10:00 a.m. Sat., Sept. 2,2000 at Bill Eisenhour N.E. Chapel. The family had requested that memorial donations be made to the Autumn House, 500 Adair Blvd., Midwest City, OK 73110.

Inge Lemke was born Nov. 19, 1921, in Frankenstein, (Silesia) Germany, to Hans Max and Martha (Metzner) Lemke and passed away Tues., Aug. 29, 2000.

Inge was preceded in death by her parents, her brother, Hans Lemke, her sister, Trautel Gellrich, and her husbands, Karl Walter Just, Elmer Lane Pontius and Donald Young.

She is survived by her son, Uwe Rainer Pontius, M.D., Ph.D, and daughter-in-law, Marky Read Pontius, of San Antonio, Texas; in Germany, Inge's sister-in-law, Anneliese Lemke, her nieces, Ute Wittman and Renata Sieber, her nephews, Hans, Norbert, and Uwe Lemke, and in London, Ohio, her cousin Trautel.

The family wanted to thank those who took such good care of Inge for many years: Donna Magraw and the staff of the Autumn House, Dr. Richard Doner, Pat Riley, Ann and Michele of Midwest City Home Health, Dr. Pipkin, DDS and his wife, and Cheryl Desjardins at the Heritage Park Pharmacy. Finally, thank you to Lisa Smith, Tammy Whitaker, Donna Watkins, Kinesha and Angel at Manor Care, and Theresa Orosco of Hospice who helped her during her final days.
