Bessie Mae (Wylie) Young

May 11, 1927 ~ Jan. 18, 2002

PLAINVIEW - Bessie Mae (Wylie) Young, 74, died Friday, Jan. 18, 2002.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday in 11th Street Church of Christ with Marion Gion and Van Miller officiating. Burial will be in Parklawn Memorial Gardens by Lemons Funeral Home of Plainview.

Mrs. Young was born in Abernathy on May 11, 1927. She married Carlton Young on April 5, 1947, in Plainview.

Survivors include her husband; two daughters, Carolyn Brain of Plainview and Linda White of Vermillion, S.D.; a son, Marvin Young of Hereford; two brothers, Oscar Ray Wylie of Dimmitt and Price Wylie of Plainview; a sister, Helen Bynum of Kingston, Okla.; 10 grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren.

The family suggests memorials be to Vista Care Hospice; or the American Cancer Society.
