Billy Joe Young, son of Joe and Wilma Maxine (Ireland) Young was born on May 19, 1959 in Stilwell, Ok, and departed this life on Sept. 29, 2016 in Tulsa, Ok, at the age of 57 years, 4 months, and 10 days.
He was a carpenter in the construction trade. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, hunting mushrooms in the spring and spending time with his kids and grandkids. He was married to Martha Duck Young.
Billy was preceded in death by his parents, a daughter, Latia Dedeenwater, a sister, Margaret Young and a brother, Michael Young.
He is survived by his wife, Martha, Three daughters: Tina Young, Jessica Young all of Stilwell; and Rachel Blower of Muskogee, OK. One son, Billy Joe Young, Jr. of Stilwell, OK, brothers: David Ray Young of Watts, OK.; Billy Joe Young of Stilwell, OK; J.W. Young of Mulberry, Ark. Sisters: Sherry Adams of Siloam Springs, AR; Rose Mary Palacios and husband Antonio of Siloam Springs, AR, uncle; Robert Young of Stilwell, OK, 13 grandchildren, several nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends also survive him.
Funeral services were held Friday, October 7, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. in the Roberts/Reed-Culver Funeral Home with Bro. Navil Vaughan officiating. Services were under the direction of Roberts/Reed-Culver Funeral Home.
