Jon Yee
June 16, 1954 ~ September 7, 2017

Jon Yee, 63, of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, passed away on Thursday, September 7, 2017. Jon was born in Oak Park, Illinois on June 16, 1954 to Don and Susan Yee.

He graduated from Sooner High School in Bartlesville, where he was honored to be co-captain of the Spartan football team his senior year. He then attend college at Oklahoma State University and was a proud Brother of the Phi Gamma Delta FIJI's fraternity, Jon graduated from Oklahoma State University with a degree in Finance and continued his studies at the University of Tulsa with a degree in Computer Science. His career started as a teenager at the front counter of his parents' Chinese restaurant, the Fortune Chef, and continued to WorldCom and TSA and Spirit AeroSystems until his retirement in July 2017.

Jon's passions included golf, travel, and Oklahoma State sports was evident to all who knew him. His warmth and love of friends and family will be fondly remembered.

Jon is survived by his wife, Terri Yee, of 21 years; his mother, Susan Yee; his sister, Mona Yee Cunningham; his God daughter Julia Cobb; and his beloved dog, Svennie. He is preceded in death by his father, Don Yee, and his beloved dog, Lucy.

A memorial service will be held Thursday, September 14, 2017 at 4:00pm at Battle Creek Golf Club at 3200 North Battlecreek Drive, Broken Arrow.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to American Cancer Society in Jon's name.

Chapman-Black Funeral Home will be in charge of the arrangements.
