Ruth Yeary, age 92 of Noble, passed away Sunday September 16, 2012.

Ruth Inez Ramsey was born March 14, 1920 in Indianola, OK 1 0f 7 children born to Charles Ramsey and Emma (Beasley) Ramsey. She grew up in McAlester and attended school there, graduating from McAlester High School. From there it was on to St. Anthony’s Catholic School where she began working in the TB ward. While here, she met a young man named Darst Yeary. They fell in love and were later married, eventually settling in Noble. Together they raised 6 children; sons, Dwayne, Don, Paul and James and daughters, Betty and Janet. Ruth took a job at then Central State Hospital and retired from Griffin Memorial Hospital after more than 30 years of service. In her younger years, Ruth enjoyed fishing. Later on it was traveling and working crossword puzzles. Her greatest joy however was spending time with her family. She was a wonderful wife and mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and a good friend. Ruth was a faithful member of the Liberty Gospel Church.

She was preceded in death by: Her husband, Darst Yeary Her parents, Charles and Emma Ramsey Her son, Dwayne Yeary

Ruth leaves behind: Her daughters, Betty Lucas and husband Jerry of Las Vegas, NV and Janet Dodd of Noble Sons, Don Yeary of Lexington Paul Yeary and wife Cindy of Oklahoma City and James Yeary and wife Linda of Lexington

19 grandchildren; 34 great grandchildren; 18 great great grandchildren and A host of other family and friends.

A Memorial Service to celebrate Ruth’s life has been scheduled for 11:00 A.M. Saturday, September 22, 2012, at the Liberty Gospel Tabernacle in Slaughterville. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Liberty Gospel Church.
