Rick D. Yarbrough, 54, of Blanchard, died Sunday, November 8, 2015, at his home. He was born August 10, 1961, in Carnegie, Oklahoma to Jacky Warren Yarbrough and Brenda Lynn (Ray) Yarbrough.

Rick married Terri Jo Townsend on January 17, 1981, in Blanchard. He was firefighter with the Oklahoma City Fire Department where he achieved the rank of Major and retired after 25 years, 1 month, and one day of service. He also worked as a commercial estimator for Yarbrough and Sons since 1988. Rick was a member of the Blanchard Church of Christ where he served as a deacon for over 15 years. In his spare time, Rick loved attending all of his son's activities and sporting events, supporting him wherever and whenever he went. Rick was an outdoorsman and enjoyed going to the lake and riding four-wheelers. He was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Rick is survived by his wife, Terri Yarbrough of Blanchard; one son, Nate Yarbrough and his wife, Stephanie, of Denver, Colorado; one brother, Darren Yarbrough and his wife, Leisa, of Blanchard; brothers-in-law, Dale Townsend and his wife, Lindsey, of Lake Dallas, Texas, and Curtis Townsend of Oklahoma City; five nephews, Will Yarbrough and his wife, Megan, Kolby Yarbrough, Tucker Yarbrough, Mason Townsend, and Alec Townsend; one niece, Madi Townsend; his mother-in-law and father-in-law, Jody and Jerry Townsend of Blanchard; and many other relatives and friends.

Memorial service will be held at 4:00 PM, Wednesday, November 11, 2015, at the Blanchard High School Gymnasium. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made to the Blanchard Church of Christ to benefit the Friday Football Breakfast. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Eisenhour Funeral Home of Blanchard. Online obituary and guestbook are available at
