Maxine (Stone) Wylie, age 95, went to be with her Lord and Savior on November 22, 2024. She was born in Electra, Texas on December 11, 1928, to David and Genoa Stone. Maxine loved her profession as an elementary teacher. She attended the First United Methodist Church in Colbert.
She is preceded in death by her parents David Avery Stone and Genoa (Moore) Stone, and her grandson Michael David Copeland. Sisters Vivian Fujita and Opal Pettiet, her brothers Elton C. Stone, Doyal Stone, and Vance Stone.
Left to cherish her memories are her daughter Connie Copeland and husband Michael of Colbert, her son Gary Wylie of San Antonio, Texas. Her grandson Christopher Copeland and wife Larissa of Colbert and great-grandchildren Kyle, Reese, and Keira Copeland of Colbert, her sister Lawanna Thomas of Burleson, Texas as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
The family will host a celebration of her life at Colbert United Methodist Church on December 11, 2024, at 2:00 PM with pastor Paul McDowell
