Terry Lee Wright, 62, of Tonkawa, Okla., passed away Wednesday, Sept. 24, 2014, at Oklahoma Heart Hospital. Terry was born Nov. 29, 1951, in Enid, Okla., to Cecil and Belva (Beard) Wright.
Terry attended school in Enid and spent many years driving a truck.
He married Mary Ellen Christy on April 10, 1970, in Enid. They celebrated 44 years of marriage.
Terry enjoyed fishing, traveling and yard work, but his greatest love was spending time with his children, grandchildren, nieces and nephews. He loved their family get-togethers and was known as Grandpa by many children in town; he always carried peppermints in his pockets to give out. Through all his illness he never gave up.
Survivors include his wife, Mary of the home; his son, Terry Wayne Wright and wife Marriya of Perry, Okla.; daughters, Brandy Wolfenbarger and husband Bobby of Siloam Springs, Ark., and Crystal Brown of Tonkawa, Okla.; grandchildren, Marrisa Hernandez and husband Matt, TJ Wright, Dylan Wright, Jayci Wolfenbarger, Dallas Wolfenbarger, Caitlin Wright and Maylee Jo Brown; his siblings, Linda Allison, Ricky Wright and Penny Smith; and numerous nephews and nieces.
Terry was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Danny Joe Wright.
Memorial service will be 10 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 27, 2014, at Faith Tabernacle Church, Ponca City, Okla., with Pastor Don Stanton officiating. Arrangements are by Anderson Funeral Home, Tonkawa, Okla.
