Robert M. Wright
October 17, 1939 ~ June 15, 2019

A celebration of Bob's life will be held in Lubbock and his ashes placed beside his parents at Lubbock Memorial Cemetery. Complete cremation care is under the direction of Brown-Cummings Funeral Home.

Robert M. Wright, a long-time resident of Enid, returned home to his Lord on June 15, 2019. Bob was born on October 17, 1939 and raised by his adopted parents Robert and Virginia Wright of Lubbock, Texas. He was a graduate of Lubbock High School, Texas Tech University, and received his Master's in Family Counseling from Oklahoma State University. His career started with the Boy Scouts of America in Duncan, OK. Bob married the love of his life, Jacqueline (Jackie) Jenkins of Duncan in 1966 and moved to Enid in 1968 where he dedicated his life to his family and counseling other families and teens in need. Bob took great delight helping people overcome life challenges and difficulties. He was immensely proud of his two sons Robert and John. Bob always enjoyed great food, drink, music, reading, conversation, playing the ukulele, and roller-skating.

He is survived by Jackie Wright of Enid, two sons, Robert J. Wright and wife Linda of Lubbock, TX and John T. Wright and wife Jessica of Middletown, DE, three grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. We will miss his amazing wit and uniqueness.

At Bob's request, there will be no visitation. A celebration of Bob's life will be held in Lubbock and his ashes placed beside his parents at Lubbock Memorial Cemetery.

The family suggests in lieu of flowers, that memorial contributions be made to RSVP and Enid Mobile Meals 602 S. Van Buren, Enid OK 73703 www.rsvpenid.org with Brown-Cummings Funeral Home serving as custodians of the funds.

Condolences to the family may be made online at WWW.Brown-Cummings.com
