Monnie L (Gentry) Wright
June 15, 1943 ~ March 7, 2024

Monnie L Wright, age 80, passed away March 7, 2024, in Shawnee, Oklahoma.

Monnie was born on June 15, 1943 to R.B. and Maymie Gentry, in Non, Oklahoma.

She was a 1961 graduate of Tecumseh High School.

Monnie began working for the State of Oklahoma after high school and retired after 34 years of service with the state.

Monnie and Larry Wright married in August 1974. They spent time traveling and enjoyed getting together with family and friends.

She loved watching all kinds of sports and was an avid OU fan.

Monnie is preceded in death by her parents, husband Larry, 2 sisters and 3 brothers.

She is survived by her daughter, Sherri Kidney and wife Kacey; daughter Terri Ozment and husband Bobby; son, Larry D Wright; one brother, Dee Gentry and wife Brend; one sister, Merle Buckmaster and husband Paul; many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and extended family and friends.

In honoring Monnie, no services will be held. A celebration of her life will be held privately at a later date with friends and family.
