Lee Vesta Wright

June 7, 1962 ~ Feb 24, 2010

Celebration of life for Lee Vesta Wright, 47, of Marietta was held at 1 p.m., Saturday, February 27 at the New Zion Baptist Church with Pastor Lawrence Anderson officiating.

Born June 7, 1962 in Honey Grove, Teas, the ninth of eleven children of Grant and Frankie Lee Wright, he died Wednesday, February 24, 2010 in Mercy Health Love County.

Lee Vesta grew up in Ardmore and graduated from Ardmore High School with the class of 1981. He made his home in Marietta approximately 15 years ago and later united with the New Zion Baptist Church. Lee worked many odd jobs and was last employed by Aubrey Pugh�s Roofing Company.

He was preceded in death by his father, Grant Wright; his mother, Frankie Lee Luckey; stepfather, James Luckey; and two brothers, Emmanuel and Robert Joe.

He is survived by his longtime companion and wife, the former Hope Young and their 15-year-old son, Lee Vante� of the home; six brothers and stepbrothers, Charles Johnson of Houston, Texas, Billy Ray Johnson of Lawton, Darnell Wright of Ardmore, Stanley Wright of Wichita Falls, Texas, Phillip Wright of Denver and Odell Johnson of Sherman, Texas; five sisters and stepsisters, Frankie Jean Young of LaMarque, Texas, Teresa Williford, Shirley Hall and Jewel Riggins, all of Sherman, and Ollie F. Johnson of Lawton; and many nieces and nephews.
