Luana June (Carter) Wright

September 20, 1960 ~ November 14, 2009

Luana June Wright, Cushing resident, passed away on November 14, 2009 in the Cushing Regional Hospital at the age of 49 years.

The daughter of James Carter and the late Norma Junk Carter, Luana was born on September 20, 1960 in Muskogee and was reared and educated in Pawhuska.

Luana enjoyed playing on the computer, going to casinos and collecting stuffed dolls.

She loved the outdoors, fishing, animals, listening to music and especially loved her two grandchildren.

Survivors include her father, James Carter, of Warner; one daughter, Heather Wright Poe of Mississippi; two grandchildren, Brianna Poe and Damon Poe; three brothers, Larry James Carter of Paola, KS, Boniface LeRoy Carter of Warner and David Carter of Texas; five sisters, Teresa Bennett of Waseca, MN, Debra King of Roland, OK, Raylene Jackson of Tecumseh, Ellie Mae Carter of Pawnee and Jennifer Carter of Texas; best friend, Ron Coulson of Cushing and other relatives and friends.

No services will be held at this time.
