Hazel (Griffis) Wright
March 19, 1924 ~ April 12, 2019

Hazel Wright, of Paoli, passed away April 12, 2019 in Pauls Valley, Oklahoma at the age of 95 years.

Mrs. Wright was born March 19, 1924 in Elmore City, Oklahoma to Etta Mae (Roberson) Griffis and Arthur W. Griffis. She was married to Earl Wright who preceded her in death in 2000. She was a loving housewife, mother and grandmother. Hazel has made this area her home for the past 3 years.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Arthur W. and Etta Mae Griffis; her husband, Earl Wright; 7 brothers and sisters, Bertha Cain, Belle Banks, John Griffis, Mabel Glenn, Della Irving, Roy Griffis, and Sue Hughes.

Surviving family include her children, Teresa Griffiths and husband, Richard, of Paoli; Marilyn Wilson and husband, Bill, of Ridgecrest, California; and Beverly Underwood, and her late husband, Ed, of Modesto, California; 17 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren and 17 great-great grandchildren with one on the way.

Funeral services are pending at this time with the Salas Brothers Funeral Chapel in Modesto, California with local arrangements through the Stufflebean-Coffey Funeral Home in Pauls Valley, Oklahoma. Her final resting place will be next to her husband, Earl, in Modesto, California at the Acacia Memorial Park in Modesto, California.
