Donnie Bruce Wright, 59 year old resident of Ellettsville, Indiana and formally of Woodward, OK passed from this life on April 12, 2014 at his home. Donnie was born April 6, 1955 to Donald Eugene and Ramona Jean Wright in Oklahoma City, OK. Donnie attended Checotah High School and graduated in 1974.
Donnie was united in marriage to Marilyn Fisher on February 11, 1977. The couple moved to Sapulpa, OK and was blessed with the birth of their son, Heath Don Wright. The family moved to Pine Bluff, Ark. then Dewitt, Ark. before moving to Vici, OK on August 30, 1987. Donnie loved to sing at church and enjoyed spending time outdoors with his son. Donnie worked for the Town of Vici for a number of years before being employed by Irwin Auto Company in Woodward, OK. He was a car salesman for 16 years. In 2001 Donnie suffered a great loss with the death of his wife Marilyn.
On July 27, 2002, Donnie was united in Marriage to Sherl Riffel Wright. They lived in Woodward, OK. before moving to Ellettsville, IN. They were blessed to travel among the brethren and see many new places together. With Sherl's help he recently obtained his real estate license in Indiana. In September of 1973 Donnie was baptized into the General Assembly and Church of the Firstborn. He enjoyed reading the Bible, studying, and sharing the gospel with others. Many times he would take young men and their spouses traveling to small churches, just trying to be a help. Donnie was preceded in death by his wife, Marilyn Wright, parents, Donald Eugene Wright and Ramona Jean Williams and step-father, Billy Leon Williams.
Donnie is
survived by his wife Sherl Wright of the home, son, Heath Wright and wife
Carissa and their daughter, Maribell of Blanchard, OK; step-son David Riffel
and wife Ashley and daughters Payton and Taylor of Ellettsville, IN; 5
sisters, Vicki Thompson and husband Glen of Henryetta, OK, LaDonna Beavers
and husband Gary of Tucson, AZ, Gail Beavers and husband Jerry of Tuvare,
CA., Rhonda Thomas and husband John of Hobbs, NM., Dana Holman of Oklahoma
City, OK; one brother Lanny Williams of Checotah, OK.; several nieces,
nephews, other family and a host of friends.
