Camilla Marie Wright passed away Sunday, Jan. 12, 2014, at home after a several month battle with lung cancer. Camilla was born to Richard Woods and Erma Slavick Woods on Sept. 30, 1937, in Enid, Okla. She graduated from Enid High School and attended Christian College in Columbia, Mo., before attending the University of Oklahoma. Camilla was married to Dick Wright, and she had more than half a century of a loving relationship as a housewife and mother. She enjoyed traveling and made many trips in the U.S. and to foreign countries.
Camilla and Dick also enjoyed their many years of home ownership in Scottsdale, Ariz. Camilla loved the Arizona desert lifestyle. Most of all, Camilla loved her family and friends.
Camilla was preceded in death by her parents.
She is survived by her husband, Dick; son, Rick Wright and wife Susan, and grandsons Alec and Ryan of Dallas, Texas; son, Michael Wright of Edmond; and son, Kevin Wright and wife Samantha and grandchildren, Mason and twins Summer and Savannah of Edmond. Camilla also is survived by her brother, Larry Woods and wife Kay of Guthrie and their children, Chris of Irvine, Calif., Kim and husband Richard of Wichita and their children, Bradley, Christopher and Kate.
Camilla�s many friends include her classmates from Christian College, who made annual trips together, and a very special group from her school days in Enid.
The family will receive friends for visitation at the funeral home from 4-6 p.m. today, Jan. 14, 2014. Funeral service will be 10 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 15, 2014, at Smith & Kernke May Chapel, Oklahoma City.
The family requests memorial gifts be made to Mercy Hospice.
