Walter Roy Lee Wreath was born September 27, 1966 to Leroy and Yvonne (Miller) Wreath in Woodward, Oklahoma. He passed from this life with his loving family by his side on June 19, 2024 in Shawnee, Oklahoma.
Walter grew up in the Sharon/Mutual area, northwest Oklahoma. He proudly graduated with the class of 1984. In his early years he worked in the oilfield. He then moved on to work as a tow boater on the Mississippi River, achieving the job of second in command, First Mate. March 8, 1993 he married the love of his life, Joyce “Reta” Russell. They were blessed with 30 years of marriage. Walter enjoyed football, especially since he played during his high school years. He also enjoyed fishing, but most of his free time was spent with his family. He so loved to spoil his grandchildren!!
He was preceded in death by his parents, LeRoy and Yvonne Wreath; along with his father-in-law and mother-in-law, James and Bobbie Russell.
Those left to cherish his memory are his loving wife, Reta Wreath; children: son, Chad and wife, River Fulton; daughter, Haylie Wreath and son, Chance Wreath; grandchildren: Eli Irvin, Jayzlee Irvin, Dustin Crabb, Dreagan Crabb, Deqyln Stokes, Kairi Wreath; his nephew, Ryan and wife Patience Crabb, (who loving called him PaPa); sister, Yvonda and husband Sonny Chapman; sister, Yulonda and husband, Mike Merry; sister, Yutanya and husband, Paul Martinez; sister, Yutina Wreath, along with other family members and a host of friends. A special mention goes out to Lynetta Walls, Stephen Joseph and Sherry Gosey.
