Betty Jo (Bonser) Workman

April 5, 1934 ~ September 1, 2009

Memorial services for Betty Jo Bonser Workman, 75, of Edmond were held Tuesday, September 8, 2009 at the Baggerley Funeral Home in Edmond, Oklahoma.

Betty was born April 5, 1934 in Moorewood, Roger Mills County, Oklahoma. She passed away on Tuesday, September 1, 2009.

Betty graduated from Arnett High School.

She married Bobby Laverne Woodman on May 4, 1956.

She worked for the Oklahoma Employment Security Commission as a keypunch operator and later as a Tax Document Examiner.

Betty was an avid gardener and she loved being outdoors and enjoyed nature.

She was generous to everyone she met. She was full of energy and always kept busy. She will be greatly missed by everyone who knew her.

Betty was preceded in death by her parents, Lawrence Bonser and Minnie Pearl Archer Bonser; husband, Bobby Workman; brothers, Bernard Bonser and Bobby Bonser; and sister, Bernie Fay Churchill.

Survivors include her children, Susan Koziolek and husband Matt of Edmond, Oklahoma; Michael L. Workman of Cashion, Oklahoma; and Sherri R. Workman of Chickasha, Oklahoma; longtime friend and companion Sam Dunn; her brothers, Bill Bonser and wife Ann and Dale Bonser and wife Glenda, both of Klamath Falls, Oregon; Bryan Bonser and wife Anna of Cheyenne, Oklahoma; and Barney Bonser of Sweetwater, Oklahoma; sisters, Bea Williams of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; and Barbara Sue Pond and husband Bill of Albert, Oklahoma; four grandchildren; two great grandchildren; as well as a host of nieces and nephews and friends.
