Andrea Lea Worden

Andrea Lea Worden
January 11, 1981 ~ October 27, 2024

"She refused to be bored chiefly because she wasn't boring." - Zelda Fitzgerald.

Andrea Lea Worden, a vivacious spirit, dedicated criminal defense attorney, encouraging friend and loving wife and mother, has left us far too soon at the age of 43. She was born and raised in Fort Gibson, Oklahoma. Andrea attended the University of Central Oklahoma where she met the love of her life, Wyatt Worden. She considered herself the luckiest girl in the world to have such a devoted spouse. Wyatt's unwavering support and encouragement empowered Andrea to shine in the spotlight.

Just three months after saying 'I do,' Andrea embarked on her journey through law school at the University of Oklahoma, effortlessly balancing love, ambition, and her impeccable sense of style. She lived by one of her favorite quotes from Coco Chanel: 'Dress shabbily and they remember the dress; dress impeccably and they remember the woman.' True to her ethos, Andrea always arrived in court looking nothing less than flawless.

Her legal career was marked by a genuine connection with her clients, compassion in her heart, and a knack for turning courtroom drama into a masterclass in empathy. Andrea's entrepreneurial streak and deep ambition led to the founding of the Worden Law Firm, now known as Worden & Carbitcher. Her legal legacy will live on in the numerous attorneys and paralegals who had the privilege of training under her.

Traveling the globe with Wyatt, they explored 17-18 countries together, collecting stories as easily as souvenirs. Eventually, their greatest adventure became parenthood, welcoming their sons Redford and then Godfrey into their lives. Andrea took to motherhood in the way that she did all aspects of her life - fully and without reservations. Her greatest legacy lives on in her children, who embody her vibrant spirit and infectious joy. They are a testament to her devotion and shine with all the best qualities she so lovingly instilled in them. Her favorite time was spent traveling (especially to Palm Springs) and exposing her kids to new experiences.

Andrea embraced her roles as lawyer, wife, mom, and collector of vintage treasures with an infectious passion that will be dearly missed. Beyond her many titles, Andrea was a lover of pre-code movies, a supporter of artisans, and a fierce believer in living life fully. Her wish for all of us? "Dance so hard that someone takes a video of you that you are mortified might make it to the internet." So let us remember her not in sorrow, but in joy—celebrating the vibrant life she led and the countless memories she gifted us.

Andrea is survived by her loving family: husband Wyatt E. Worden and sons Redford Fitzgerald Worden and Godfrey Rutherford Worden.

In lieu of flowers, her family has asked that donations be made in her name to: Cure Medullo at
