Frances Eva (Sontag) Woolley-Craig

August 22, 1915 ~ April 26, 2013

FRANCES EVA WOOLLEY-CRAIG, daughter of John Tobias and Anna (Riemer) Sontag, was born August 22, 1915 at Higgins, TX. She departed this life early Friday, April 26, 2013 at the Seiling Community Hospital at the age of 97 years.

The Sontag family moved to several different locations in Dewey and Major Counties and Frances attended various country schools where they lived. She married Joseph Henry Woolley in 1932 at Taloga and they had four children. They lived west of Seiling and later moved east of Chester. Joe preceded her in death in 1956. In 1970, Frances married Jesse Craig and they lived east of Chester on the family farm. Jesse preceded her in death in 1981. Later, Frances, along with her son Oscar, moved to Fairview to make their home. Due to failing health, Frances moved to the Seiling Nursing Center. She attended the Fairview Assembly of God Church.

She is survived by her son Oscar Woolley of Fairview, two daughters, Betty Seabourn of Fairview and Norma Bouse of Sioux Falls, South Dakota, seven grandchildren, nineteen great grandchildren and several great-great grandchildren; one sister, Julia Hobbs of Enid and one brother Leonard Sontag of Enid and she is also survived by many other relatives and friends. Besides both husbands, she was preceded by her parents, an infant son Arbey Joe, seven brothers and sisters, one granddaughter and one great grandson.
