The Memorial services celebrating and honoring the life of Sharon K. Woody, 71, of Enid will be held at 2:00 P.M. Monday November 25, 2019 in the Brown-Cummings Funeral Home with Chaplain Gary Miller officiating. Services and complete cremation care are under the direction of Brown-Cummings Funeral Home.
She was born December 29, 1947 to William and Billie McLish in Ada, Oklahoma and passed from this life on November 21, 2019 in Enid, Oklahoma.
She was raised in New Mexico for 10 years and moved to Oakman, OK. in 1961. Where she attended Oakman school until the 8th grade and transferred to Byng in Ada, OK. In June 1965 she married Ronald Lee Carpenter and was a homemaker. She attended Nursing School and worked for Enid Memorial Hospital for ten years. She then worked for Dr. Dewayne Jantzen for over twenty-five years and then serving at O.U. Medical with Dr. Pontious until she retired at the age of 61. She enjoyed bingo, Las Vegas, and bowling. She liked going out with her friends and enjoying her life. Most of all she loved spending time with her family.
She is survived by her children Nancy Edwards, and husband Mark from San Antonio, TX, Jerald Carpenter, and wife Lori for Glenpool, OK, Tammy Williams and husband Brandon from Enid, OK, and Shauna Peterson and husband Justin from Enid, OK, grandchildren Brandy Shaffer, Kodie Carpenter, Blake Butler, Megan Butler, Jaycob Munholland, and Gunner Williams, great-grandchildren, Peyton Koerber, Jaxon Branham, Sawyer Branham and the Woody Family, and sisters, Phyllis and Tommy Horton, of Oologah, OK., Vicki amd Ronnie Canada, of Francis, OK., Kelly Kellof, of Poteau, OK, and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents William and Cleo McLish, Billie and Jerry Kellogg, and her sister Joyce Greenwood.
