Memorial services for Arvil Woodward, 69, lifelong resident of Fairview, OK will be held at 3:00 p.m., Sunday, June 4, 2017 at the Fairview Senior Citizen Center.
Arvil Woodward was born September 19, 1947 in Ada, OK to Lee Woodward and Myrtle Stephens Woodward. He went to be with his Lord and Savior on May 22, 2017 at Enid Senior Care, Enid, OK.
Arvil spent the first seven years of his life in Fittstown, OK (near Ada) before moving with his family to Fairview in 1954. He attended Fairview Public Schools. ln the mid 60's, Arvil served in the Job Corp. at Hebron, AZ. Upon his return to Oklahoma, he attended Sooner Trade School in Oklahoma City, studying auto paint and body. Arvil's early employment years were spent working for local car dealerships: Cornelson Chevrolet, Howard Way Chevrolet, Reames Motor Co., and Jensen's. He did body shop work, washed & detailed cars, and grounds maintenance. He also worked for Hallren's Produce. Arvil's last 30 plus years of employment were spent working at the Fairview Sale Barn and Martens Machine Shop.
Arvil was preceded in death by his parents and siblings: Joyce, Harold, Warren, Hazel and Rita.
He is survived by one brother, Jerry of Shawnee. Memorials may be made to Hospice Circle of Love, 314 S. 3rd, Enid, OK 73701.
