Donald Gene Woods was born on March 25th, 1942 to Delbert Franklin & Velma Jean (Drain) Woods. Don grew up in the area and graduated from Shidler High School in 1960. He then enlisted in the Navy, serving 4 years. He married Barbara Jean Wehunt in Webb City, OK on May 8th, 1962. Of this union 3 children were born. Don and Barbara were married until her passing March 14th, 1998.
On January 24th,2000 he married Bertha Jane Badley, who preceded him in death on June 25th, 2017. Don was a man of faith. He loved his family and his church. He was proud of his service, to his country and community, as a veteran and police officer.
He is Survived by his daughter Patty Gordon and her husband Cliff of Pawnee, Oklahoma. His son Brad Woods of Fairfax, Oklahoma and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Services will be held Friday 10:00 A.M. January 24, 2020 at Glencoe United Methodist Church (113 S Perry Ave Glencoe, OK 74032) with Bro. Charles Richey and Rev. Jeff Kuhn officiating.
