Bruce Allen Woods

Oct. 14, 1940 ~ 2002

Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Boys Ranch with Freddie Richardson officiating. Burial will be in Memory Gardens Cemetery by Schooler Funeral Home, 4100 S. Georgia St.

Mr. Woods was born Oct. 14, 1940, in Marlow, Okla. He was in the Navy for nine years. He married Barbara Nicholson on July 17, 1970, in Olton.

He was employed at Boys Ranch for 30 years. He was a house parent for 10 years and a painter for 20 years. He was a member of Souls Harbor Church.

Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Natalie Woods of Amarillo; a son, Nathan Woods of Irving; his parents, Victor and Addie Hill of Canyon; seven sisters, Lenora Holdeman of Perryton, Lynda Dresch of Jacksonville, Fla., Betty Jordan of Olton, Tonya Allen, Debbie Carter and Shelly Woodram, all of Marlow, Okla., and Alma Hudelston of Purcell, Okla.; and five brothers, Carrol Blackwell of Lubbock, Billy Woods, Lenny Woods and Glenn Woods, all of Marlow, and Wyman Blackwell of Oklahoma City.

The family suggests memorials be to Crown of Texas Hospice, 1000 S. Jefferson St., Amarillo, TX 79101.
