Memorial services for Aubrey Marie (Matthes) Woods, 44, of Claremore, OK, were held Friday, November 12, 2021, at First Baptist Church in Claremore, OK. Pastor Keith Wiginton officiated. Honorary Casket bearers were Brandon Matthes, James Proffitt, Jordan McMillan, April Dean, John Proffitt and Korrina Izaguirre Olguin.
Aubrey was born August 27, 1977, in Tulsa, OK, to Martin Eugene Matthes and Dianna Lynn Proffitt. She passed away October 27, 2021, in Claremore, OK.
Aubrey worked at Six Flags over St. Louis. She became a Registered Medical Assistant and was a Lab Technician for the American Red Cross. Aubrey was a member of LifeChurch in Catoosa and loved watching and collecting various movies.
She is survived by her husband, Jacob “Alex” Woods; son, Asher James Woods; David Woods; JoAnn Woods and Jacob “Jake” Woods; brother, Brandon Matthes and wife, Kandi; father, Martin “Marty” Matthes; mother, Dianna Proffitt; aunts and uncles, John Proffitt and wife, Cindy, Dennis Proffitt and wife Robbie, Gary Matthes, Don Settles and wife Sheila, Victor Izaguirre and wife, Shanda, Fed Atha and wife, LaShelle, and Janet Schultz; and many other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her uncle, Robert Schultz; and grandparents, Jake and Lavon Matthes and John and Virginia Proffitt.
Arrangements and services were entrusted to Johnson Funeral Home, Sperry.
