Scott C. Woodall, 56, of Edmond, Oklahoma, passed away peacefully on April 9, 2019, with his family by his side. Scott was born in Lawton, Oklahoma to Chloe Frances Woodall and Aaron Jenks Woodall on February 7, 1963. He went to school in Rockport, Texas and then returned to Oklahoma where he spent the remainder of his life. He was an extremely talented and immaculate self-employed carpenter. He was dedicated to his career and deeply cared for his employees, business partners and the quality of his work.
Scott married Sandra L. Woodall on May 19, 2000 in Oklahoma County. Scott was a loving, hard-working, and selfless man. He loved music, OU football, hunting, fishing, camping, boating, being outdoors, and cooking out on the grill for his family. He, his wife, and children spent several family vacations at the lake, river, and at the ocean in South Padre, Texas. Above all else, Scott loved his family passionately, and fiercely. He was a dedicated husband, father, grandfather, and friend. His greatest joy was being called papa by his grandchildren. He was his family’s protector, loved his friends as family, and would give anyone the shirt off his back.
Scott is preceded in death by his daughter; Frances Camille Woodall; father, Aaron Jenks Woodall; mother, Chloe Frances Woodall; Sister, Debra June Woodall; brother, Terrance Woodall; grandmother, Bertha May Bell; and mother in law, Judith Renee Kelly.
Scott is survived by his wife of 19 years, Sandra Woodall; son, Brandon Woodall and his wife, Holly; son, Davis Woodall; daughter Jessica Duncan and her husband Steven ; son, Walter Bishoff and his wife Lauren Bishoff, and all of his grandchildren that he loved more than anything; Cason, Jackson, Cayson Laine, Layla, Holden, Alivia, Tristan, Paisley a.k.a. “Papa’s Girl”; his newest grandson who was born shortly before he passed, Raylan; and his father in law, Reed Kelly.
The family of Scott wishes to extend our sincere thanks to Dr. Patel and his staff at Integris Medical Center in Oklahoma City; the medical professionals at St. Alexius Hospital in Hoffman Estates, IL; and Pastor Aaron Heeg and his wife Melody Heeg who were apart of Scott and his family’s life for many years. Pastor Aaron and Melody prayed over Scott, giving him peace and comfort, throughout his final weeks living his temporary life until he went on to his eternal life with our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
Scott died the same way that he lived: he wrote his own rules, he fought the battle faithfully and fearlessly, he paved his own way, he beat so many odds, and cared for his family even during his weakest moments. His soul and spirit will always be with each of us as we go on, missing and remembering him.
Services to celebrate Scott's life will be 2:00pm Saturday, April 13, 2019 in The Chapel at Resthaven. Scott’s Ashes will be spread by his children in the ocean, lake, and other places that were special to each one of them.
