James Roger Wood "Jake" passed away April 29, 2020 in Oklahoma City.
On September 7th, 1946 James was born in Oklahoma City, OK to F.S. Wood and Maud Rachel Caffey. As a young boy, Jake spent his time playing with his brother, Tom, and sister, Grace. He was a huge animal lover and enjoyed his dogs and horses growing up. Jake graduated from William Jennings Bryan School and was extremely proud of his accomplishment.
Jake never let anything hold him back. He loved to ride motorcycles and was considered the “Greatest Delivery Driver” around. He worked alongside his brother Tom at Boat City taking care of deliveries until his retirement. Jake enjoyed watching westerns on television and visiting with friends. His dear friend
Shirley was always good to take him to church and dinner or anywhere else he wanted to go. James was preceded in death by his parents, F.S. Wood and Maud Rachel Caffey; and sister, Grace Stone.
James survived by his brother, Tom Wood, and his wife Allene Wood; numerous nieces and nephews, and too many friends to count. The family would like to offer special thanks to Bryan and Kristy Tharp, Michael Gray, Jessica Chartney, and Jim McKibbin for special help with Jake.
