Donald Mark Wood

Donald Mark Wood
September 10, 1937 ~ March 25, 2013

Donald Mark Wood, the son of Seth Wood and Idena (Peterson) Wood, was born September 10, 1937, in Eau Claire, Wisconsin. He departed this life March 25, 2013, in Stilwell, Oklahoma, at the age of 75 years, 6 months and 15 days.

Donald was a veteran of the U.S. Armed Forces, serving during the Korean War. After his military service he worked as a farm hand for several ranches. He loved to fish, hunt, feed the birds, and watch the deer around his home. Donald was strong in the Jewish faith.

His father, Seth Wood, preceded Donald in death.

His surviving family includes, his mother, Idena Wood, of Ft. Collins, CO; four daughters, Peggy Higgins, of Subiaco, AR, Anita Sallee, of Booneville, AR, Theresa Mandrell, of Paris, AR, and Tracie Mitchell, of Amarillo, TX; two brothers, Larry Wood, of Booneville, AR and Randy Wood, of Ft. Collins, CO; three sisters, Nancy Wood, of Montana, Mary Robertson, of Mansfield, AR, and Linda Richardson, of Ft. Smith, AR; and one nephew, Kenneth Baker, of Ft. Smith, AR. Ten grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren also survive him.

Memorial services will be held 4:00 p.m. Friday, April 5, 2013, at the Faith Pentecostal Church of God, 1611 S. Elm, Paris, Arkansas. Final arrangements were entrusted to the care of Hart Funeral Home of Stilwell.
