Linda Nell Womack, age 75 of Purcell, passed away January 25, 2023 in Norman. Linda Nell Gosnell was the youngest of two children born to William (Bill) Isaac Gosnell and Lucille Marie (Kilpatrick) Gosnell in Anadarko, Oklahoma. She grew up in the Chickasha area and graduated with the Fighting Chicks Class of 1965. She was married young, and welcomed son, Jim, and later daughter Dedra. Later on in her life, Linda married Charles Womack and gained another son Allen.
Throughout the years, Linda worked in concessions and the restaurant industry. She owned and operated several small businesses in the Marlow area. Linda was widely known for her cooking and baking, and especially her made from scratch homemade pies. She enjoyed gardening, and spending time outside. She was the proud grandmother of Parker, Avery, Sophie, Brynn, and Taylor. She will be dearly missed!
She was proceeded in death by her husband Charles Womack; her parents Bill and Lucille Gosnell; and her brother Ben Gosnell.
Linda is survived by her children Jim Russell (Brooke) of McKinney, TX, Dedra Miller (Kris) of Purcell, OK, and Allen Womack (Melissa) of Rush Springs, OK; her grandchildren Parker Miller (McKynzie), Avery Miller, Sophie Russell, Brynn Russell, and Taylor Foster; and one great-grandchild Kane Miller, and a host of other family and friends.
A Celebration of Life service will be 1:00 P.M. Saturday February 4, 2023 at The Church at Norman, 900 24th Ave SW Ste.1, Norman, OK 73069. You may send online condolences to the family @ www.wilsonlittle.com.
