Larry Wayne Wolkins
December 26, 1946 ~ June 15, 2017

Mr. Larry Wayne Wolkins, 70, of Bartlesville, left this world to meet his Lord & Savior face to face at 1:40 P.M. on Thursday, June 15, 2017 at the Jane Phillips Medical Center.

A Celebration of Life for Mr. Wolkins will be held at 11 A.M. Monday, June 19, 2017 at the First Wesleyan Church with Pastor Joe Colaw. Interment will be held at 11 A.M. on Tuesday in Altoona, Kansas directed by the Stumpff Funeral Home & Crematory.

The Wolkins family will receive guests for visitation at the Stumpff Funeral Home on Sunday from 6 P.M. until 8 P.M.

Mr. Wolkins was born at Winona Lake, Indiana to Wayne Elbert Wolkins and Virginia Lee (Gibson) Wolkins. He grew up and received his education at Fredonia, Kansas where he graduated high school in 1964. He then attended Central Pilgrim College (now Oklahoma Wesleyan University) and then Friends University in Wichita, Kansas where he received his Bachelor's degree in Business in 1974.

He was married to Lois K. Howell on January 22, 1967 at the First Wesleyan Church in Bartlesville. He served with the United States Navy during the Vietnam Conflict from 1968 until receiving his Honorable Discharge in 1972. He was an oil and gas accountant working with Phillips Petroleum Company in Bartlesville and later working in Texas and Tennessee until his retirement in September 2015.

Mr. and Mrs. Wolkins returned to Bartlesville to make their home in May of 2017. As a member of the First Wesleyan Church, he blessed many with his anointed trumpet playing. his trumpet playing.

Mr. Wolkins is survived by his wife, Lois Wolkins, three daughters, Lori Kroh and husband Scott of Tulsa, Lisa Wolkins of McKinney, Texas and Lana Montgomery and husband Jeff of Piney Flats, Tennessee, five grandchildren, Sterling Kroh, Campbell Kroh, Olivia Joy Montgomery, Sophia Grace Montgomery and Blake Andrew Montgomery, a sister-in-law & brother-in, law, Cheryl and Harold Finkenbinder, a brother-in-law, Gene Howell and a nephew, Steven Howell and wife Stephanie.

He was preceded in death by his parents, a nephew, Brian Howell and a cherished uncle Harold Gibson.
