Linda Louise (White) Wofford
December 27, 1940 ~ September 7, 2024

Linda Louise Wofford, 83-year-old rural Vinita resident, passed away on Saturday, September 7, 2024, at the St. Francis Vinita Hospital. She was born on December 27, 1940, in Tulsa to Eugene and Ruby Marlene (Bogle) White. Linda was a graduate of Tulsa East Central High School, and Northeastern State College in Tahlequah. She taught school for 32 years before retiring, and later became a substitute teacher for Ketchum and Vinita schools.

Linda was preceded in death by her parents, a brother, Ronald Eugene White in 2022, and her daughter, Ruby Lin Wofford in 2023.

The family includes her sons Gene Wofford, Danny Wofford, and Terry Wofford, a grandson, Jerome Duran Banks, and a sister in law Hope White, numerous other relatives and friends.

The family will have a private service at a later date. Online condolences may be made at www.highsmithfh.com or on the funeral home Facebook page. Arrangements are in the care of the Burckhalter-Highsmith Funeral and Cremation Services of Vinita. “Vinita’s only locally owned and operated funeral home.”
