Joseph Albert Wloczewski

April 20, 1915 ~ June 29, 2009

Joseph Albert Wloczewski, also referred to as Joseph "Doc" Wood, 94, of Chicago, IL passed away peacefully on Monday, June 29, 2009 at his nephew's home in Guthrie, OK. Joseph was born on April 20, 1915 in Chicago, IL to Joseph and Martha (Chainski) Wloczewski. No services are scheduled at this time. Arrangements were under the direction of Smith-Gallo Funeral Home, Guthrie.

Joseph served as a doctor with the Seabees in the U.S. Navy during WW II. After his military service, he had his own practice and was a physician in Chicago for over 50 years. He is survived by his nephew Edwin Wood and wife Teresa of Guthrie; sister-in-law Velma R. Wood of Edmond, OK; and grand nephew and grand niece Dustin and Alisha LeClair.

Joseph is preceded in death by his parents, wife Felice in 1988, and brother Dr. Edwin S. Wood.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to Friends of Guthrie Animal Shelter, 104 West Springer, Guthrie, OK 73044.
