Linda Sue (Mund) Wittum
September 19, 1970 ~ May 28, 2020

Linda Sue Wittum, age 49 passed away on Thursday, May 28th at home in Medford OK. She was born September 19th, 1970 at St. Mary’s Hospital in Enid Oklahoma to Farmer/rancher Edgar and Mae Mund. She grew up on a farm 5 mile west of Medford and later moving into Medford.

She was a 1989 graduate of Medford High School lettering in track. She continued her education at NOC- Tonkawa and received her associate degree in nursing, then on to NWOSU in Alva OK for her BSN. She had a successful career as a Registered Nurse working at Caldwell KS Hospital, Agency work, St Mary’s Hospital Enid OK and Bass Baptist Hospital Enid OK.

Agriculture was always a part of Linda’s life being a farmer’s daughter. She was employed by various area farmers before going to college and later married farmer Jerry Wittum on Jan 1, 1990. She took pride in farming with him and had two beautiful children Vanessa and Chase.

Linda loved her children, granddaughter, and her beloved mini yorkie, Macy.

Linda was known for her determination and strong will. She was able to overcome many challenges throughout her life. After an accident that left her wheelchair bound, everyday was a challenge. But she never let it get the best of her. Through perseverance she was able to live independently and still do many of the things she loved. Linda had an enormous love for the great outdoors and deer hunting, always searching for the 'Biggest Whitetail Buck' in Grant Co. Needless to say, she scored many of them. She displayed her trophies in every room in her home.

She is survived by both her children Chase and Vanessa Wittum and granddaughter Emma Wittum, close friend Katie Willet all of Medford OK, Mother Mae Mund and brother Larry Mund both of Wagoner OK, close friends Kevin and Lisa Kilian of Medford OK, and many cousins.

Linda is proceeded in death by her dad Edgar Mund, Grandparents John and Regina Mund, Grandparents Will and Nora Cormack, and many aunts and uncles.

Family, friends and all of those whose lives were touched by Linda are invited to Stittsworth Funeral Service, Medford, OK, Saturday, June 6, 2020 at 10:00 am to celebrate her new life and share remembrances of Linda
