Joan Delmar Witter was born June 19, 1945 in the parish of Saint Elizabeth Jamaica West Indies. She passed away on November 25, 2019 in Guthrie, Oklahoma. She attended Saint George's Girls School, then went on to attend Commercial School. Joan was employed by Jamaica Mutual Life Assurance Society, now known as Gardian Life Limited. She worked as the Supervisor for Records Keeping and Communication. Before migrating to the United States about 1997, Joan symbolized by water baptism her dedication to serve Jehovah as one of his witnesses in Jamaica on November 19, 1994. Joan aiding several to serve Jehovah as his dedicated servants as well, one of which is here in Oklahoma. After a few years in the USA she became a citizen.
Joan gave birth to three children, Barroni Chin-Hugh, Shaunamarie Gill (deceased), and Br Peter Greenwood. Joan, the eldest of four siblings, leaves her three sisters in mourning, Anette, Denise, and Chyrell, along with many grandchildren and great grandchildren as well as other family members and friends here in the US and Jamaica.
Memorial services will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Saturday December 7, 2019 at Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses (5025 S. Sooner Road, Guthrie, OK 73044) with Br Darryl Graven and Br Steven Saunders officiating. Arrangements by Hayes Funeral Home.
