Billy Joe Witte of Whitney, Texas died November 27, 2018 at Providence Hospice Place in Waco, Texas. He was born June 4, 1937 to Robert Henry Witte and Elma May Ball-Witte. He received his education in Wyandotte, Oklahoma, schools. He held several jobs throughout his adult life, but mainly installed floorcovering for various businesses. He also owned his own floorcovering business in Dewey, Oklahoma from 1967 to 1975.

Billy loved the outdoors, was an avid wildlife photographer, and enjoyed hunting and fishing. He was also a very talented woodcarver and even made furniture for a short period of his life. He lived in Oklahoma and Texas throughout his life. He always had a twinkle in his eye and a smile for anyone.

Preceding Billy in death are: his father Robert Henry Witte, his mother Elma May Ball-Witte, two brothers (Donald Leroy Witte and Robert Clayton Witte), and four sisters (Mary June Witte, Betty Lou Witte, Wanda Lee Witte-Riddle, and Carolyn Nell Witte-Colvard).

He is survived by two brothers (Charles DeWayne Witte of Lexington, Alabama and David Lee Witte of Lithonia, Georgia), one sister (Marilyn Jean Witte-Hendrix of Mount Vernon, Texas), five children (Linda Jo Witte-Glass of Sherman, Texas, Lisa Lea Witte-Turinetti of Bartlesville, Oklahoma, Kevin Alan Witte of Ochelata, Oklahoma, Kerry Lane Witte of Bartlesville, Oklahoma, and Angel Lea Witte-Sonnentag of LaRue, Texas), and numerous grandchildren.

Arrangements have been made for cremation through the Lake Shore Funeral Home in Waco, Texas.

There will be no funeral services.
