Herman E. "Gene" Wing
December 1, 1927 ~ May 21, 2015

Long-time area cowboy and horsetrainer, Gene Wing, passed away May 21, 2015 with his family by his side at St. John's Hospital in Tulsa following heart surgery.

Gene was born in Peggs, OK on December 1, 1927 and moved to Bartlesville at the age of sixteen.

He is survived by his daughter Debbie McKinney and husband Michael. Two grandsons: Brian McKinney and wife Donna and David Wing; three great grandchildren Liberty and Attalie McKinney and Landon Dickey as well as his longtime best friend Steve Edmondson of Nowata.

He was preceded in death by his parents Louis Wing and Wilma Daniels and his son Bruce Gene Wing.

Gene was loved and will be missed by his family and his many friends in the cowboy community, his coffee shop buddies and his wonderful neighbors.

No services are planned. A private family service will be held at a later date.
