Paulette K. (Thompson) Winbolt
November 11, 1947 ~ January 11, 2019

A Celebration of Life Service for Paulette K. Winbolt, age 71, will be 2:00 p.m. Monday at the Ladusau-Evans Chapel with Rev. Gail Edmison and Dr. Bob Anthony officiating. Cremation and services arrangements are under the direction of Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home.

Paulette was born November 19, 1947, in Enid to Paul and Mable (Beezley) Thompson and passed away Friday, January 11, 2019, in St. Mary's Regional Hospital.

She attended and graduated from Enid High School in 1965. She met the love of her life, Donald Winbolt, on a blind date and was married on October 11, 1968, in Enid. She received her nursing training at St. Mary's Hospital and graduated as an RN in 1968.

Her caring heart and love for people guided her across the country serving patients at the National Jewish Hospital in Denver, CO, Kaiser Foundation in Sacramento, CA, and back to Enid to work at St. Mary's Hospital, Bass Hospital, Northwest Oklahoma Orthopedic, and Humana Military Tri Care Vance AFB, retiring in 2008. Paulette continued to work part-time, relinquishing her license after 50 years.

She was confirmed at St. Paul's Lutheran Church and later became a member of New Hope United Methodist Church. She was a member of North Enid Lions Club and a Melvin Jones Fellow of Lions Club International.

She is survived by her husband Don of the home; sons, Todd Winbolt and wife Pam of Canyon, TX, Jason Winbolt and wife Angie Schelp in Olathe, KS, and Justin Winbolt of Enid; 7 grandchildren, Amanda, Nicole, Kuyler, Hannah, Sabra, Ella, Trenity; great-grandchild Brynlee; Sisters, Phyllis Thompson of Haltom City, TX, Penny Barber of Edmond, Patti Baker of Hulbert, OK, and Pepe Thompson-Brown of Cookeville, TN; and several nieces, nephews, and countless patients and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents and Sister Pam Murphy.

Memorials may be made to the Pulmonary Fibrosis Foundation or the Oklahoma Eye Bank with Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home serving as custodians of the funds.
