Timothy James Wilson, 56, of Bartlesville, died Saturday, March 15, 2014 at his home surrounded by family members.
He was born Feb. 25, 1958 in Great Bend, Kan., the son of Billy Bob and Majorie Krug Wilson. He attended school in Inman, Kan. and in Hooker, graduating with the HHS Class of 1976.
He married Tammy McKinley on June 11, 1977 in Hooker and the couple was blessed with two children: Amos James Wilson and Jessi Mae Wilson. He retired from AT&T in 2010 after 33 years of employment that began in Hooker and took the family to Duncan; Memphis, Tenn.; Westminster, Colo.; and Bartlesville.
Tim was diagnosed with amyotrophic lateral sclerosis or ALS, often referred to as "Lou Gehrig's Disease" in April, 2010.
His lifelong hobbies were fishing, camping, fishing, yard work, fishing and spending time with family and friends and, of course, more fishing.
Preceding him in death are one infant daughter, Rene; his father, Billy Bob Wilson; and his mother-in-law, Evelyn Gaynor McKinley.
Survivors include his wife, Tammy Lynne of the home; one son, Amos James Wilson and his wife, Jennifer of Bartlesville; one daughter, Jessi Mae Wilson and her partner, Kiley Blake of Tulsa; his mother, Marjorie Coates and her husband, Tom of Bella Vista, Ark.; one sister, Marilee Jacobs and her husband, Ken of Hooker; one step-sister, Lisa Habermehl and her husband, Bill of Bella Vista, Ark.; granddaughters, Sadie Mae Wilson-Scott of Hooker and TamiJo Wilson of Bartlesville; one step-granddaughter Kira (Kiwi) Clark of Bartlesville; and many other relatives and friends.
Family members gathered Monday, March 17 for a celebration of Tim's life at the family home, 1547 Vista Drive, Bartlesville, OK 74006.
