Roy Earl Wilson was born April 13, 1945 in Ralston, Oklahoma one of fourteen children to Clifford William and Lizzie Mae Hamm Wilson. He passed away June 6, 2013 in Stillwater, Oklahoma at the age of 68.
Roy worked for many years as a butcher at Ralph's Meat Packing in Perkins. He also worked in the oil field and for Lincoln County Liquefied Gas in Chandler.
In his early years he spent time baling hay but didn't really like it.
Roy enjoyed spending time with his family and working on his trucks. When he finished fixing up a truck and selling it, he would start over and do it all again.
Roy was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Ike Wilson, Virgil Wilson and Archie Wilson; sisters, Vida Wilson, Deloris Boswell, Jean Parker, Alice Chapman and Betty McWhirt; and several nieces and nephews.
He is survived by his fiance', Joyce Cook of Perkins; brothers, Earnest Wilson and his wife Patsy of Carney; Cecil Wilson and his wife Carol of Carney; sisters, Margaret Stollings of Cushing; Viola Kitchel of Winfield, Kansas; and Maxine and her husband B. J. Chambers of Oklahoma City.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, June 12, 2013 at the Tryon First Assembly of God Church.
Arrangements are under the direction of Lehman Funeral Home.
