Myrna Kay Wilson passed away peacefully at home with her family on Tuesday, July 11th, 2023 in Lucien, Oklahoma. Myrna was born on September 9, 1941 to Ora Butler and Margaret Halladay Butler in Union, Iowa.
Myrna spent her childhood in Union, Iowa, with her six siblings. During high school she met and married her sweetheart, Reverend Craig Miles Wilson, Sr.(CM) They raised their three children, Craig Miles Wilson, Jr., Teddy Lee Wilson, Penny Kay Muze and grandson, Devin Schaun Hudson.
Myrna dedicated most of her life to being a pastor’s wife and mother. She lived in Iowa and California until CM received a calling into ministry. This led them to Kansas for higher education, then pastoring churches in Indiana, North Carolina, and Oklahoma, where they retired.
Myrna had a passion for creating a beautiful yard with many plants and flowers that she grew and nurtured at every residence. She enjoyed giving tours of her oasis and could name every plant and flower and share some history of each. She also enjoyed her other talents of painting and crafts. She won city competitions for her outdoor Christmas decorations. After raising her children, she began a full time career until she retired.
She leaves behind her husband, C.M.; two sons, Craig, Jr. (Mary), Ted (Tonia); daughter, Penny Muzi (Mike); grandchildren, Zach Wilson, Tiffanie Newman (Michael), Jeremy Wilson, Kayla Stroud (Matt), Devin Hudson (Chrystal), Brandon Dunne, Jordan Dunne, Jody Bolechala, Amber Bolechala, Jason Bolechala, Amy Kukeattinun, Israel Bolechala, Arica Bolechala, Malachi Bolechala; seven great grandchildren; Brothers David Butler (Lorrie), Jack Butler and sisters Rita Collins (Reggie), Tammy Butler Shore (Mike); 18 Nieces and Nephews; 35 Great Nieces and Nephews.
She goes to join her parents; sister, Lozzeta (Skip) Butler ; brother, Derril Butler
