Eloise Gene "Lois" (Detweiler) Wilson
January 5, 1930 ~ October 29, 2015

Eloise (Lois) Detweiler Wilson was born January 5, 1930 in Gridley, California. She passed away October 29, 2015 at Oklahoma City, Oklahoma at the age of 85 years, 9 months and 24 days.

As a baby, she moved to Los Angeles with her family. Her father was a minister of the United Brethren which later became the United Methodist Church. Lois was married to Sam Firrell and 3 children were born to this union. Sam passed away at the age of 34 and she later married to Preston Wilson at La Puente, CA on December 27, 1975. They remained in California until 1978 when they moved to Klamath Falls, OR and then Phoenix, AZ. In 1983, they moved to Oklahoma and made their home in the Mayfield community. Lois was a hard worker and was employed as a waitress at The Big Sky Restaurant, Cowboys Restaurant and Subway for many years. She was preceded in death by her parents, a daughter, Linda, a son, Ronnie, and 2 brothers, Mert and Art Detwieler.

She is survived by her husband, Preston, of the home; a daughter, Donna Durr, Seattle, WA; a stepson, Leslie Wilson, Mayfield, OK; a sister, Irene Burgoyne, LaVerne, CA; many grandchildren, a great, grandchild and a host of other relatives and friends.

Private family services will be held at a later time.
