Elza Ann (Barnes) Wilson of Longdale, Oklahoma was welcomed into the Lord’s arms on August 26, 2022. Elza Ann was born February 16, 1936, in Blaine County to May Agnes Hargrove Barnes and Elza Franklin Barnes.
After finishing high school, Elza Ann Barnes married the love of her life Clarence Edward Wilson, Sr. on May 25, 1957. They made their home in Longdale, Oklahoma where they raised their three children Carmie, Julie, and Eddie Wilson. Elza Ann worked numerous jobs throughout her life, but her most rewarding job was a teachers aid at the Longdale grade school. Elza Ann loved her family and the Lord, always met you with a hug and a kiss, and loved all creatures big and small. She was caring and compassionate. She was the best hostess and was always willing to serve others. She was a wonderful cook and made the best homemade noodles. They were her staple at every holiday. She loved to play cards, especially pitch. She did word searches every night before bed, loved to watch the Price Is Right and enjoyed time at the casino. She loved to garden and could grow any flower or plant. She loved the Colorado mountains where they spent their summers at the cabin that she and Clarence built, where they enjoyed all their Colorado friends. She was a member of the Longdale Community Church. Her and Clarence lived in Longdale all their lives, loved the community and all their wonderful friends. She was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and great-great grandmother.
Elza Ann is survived by two children; Julie (Wilson) Robison and husband Barry of Pampa, TX., Eddie Wilson and wife Traci of Woodward, OK., six grandchildren, Brooke (Robison) Rauh and husband Justin of Houston, TX., Kari (Robison) White and husband Trevin of Pampa TX., Austin Wilson and wife Erin of Woodward, OK., Devin Wilson of Woodward, OK., Mandy Dow of Longdale, OK., and Clint Dow. Seven great grandchildren, Tyce and Kaitlyn Rauh, Alyssa and Jacob Rutz, Leighton and Lynnley White, and Kamryn Wilson. Two great great grandchildren, Xander and Ezekiel. She is reunited with her beloved husband Clarence Edward Wilson Sr., daughter Carmie (Wilson) Hooper and husband Ralph, her parents May and Elza Barnes.
A celebration of life service will be held at a later date for the family per Elza Ann’s wishes. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Longdale Community Church. Condolence messages may be made at www.piercefuneralhomes.com.
