July 24, 1949 ~ July 2, 2015

Celebration of Life service for Pastor Dan G. Wilson, 65, of Enid, will be 10 a.m. Monday, July 6, 2015, at Oakwood Christian Church. The Revs. Eric Keller and Alan Seibel will officiate. Burial will be 10 a.m. Tuesday, July 7, 2015, in Ozark Memorial Park Cemetery, Joplin, Mo.

Arrangements are under direction of Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home. The family will receive friends 3-4 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.

Dan was born July 24, 1949, in Council Bluffs, Iowa, to Gerald and Pauline Mattis Wilson and passed away suddenly Thursday, July 2, 2015, at his home.

He was raised in Council Bluffs, where he attended school and graduated in 1967. He moved to Joplin to attended Ozark Christian College, graduating in 1972.

He married his love of his life, Jane Mason, Jan. 3, 1975, in Tulsa, Okla.

In 1975, his first church was Sperry Christian Church, for two years. He served churches in Oklahoma City, Tuttle, Enid, Tulsa, Bixby, and back to Enid, where he served as executive pastor at Oakwood Christian Church. Dan enjoyed doing mission work in the Philippines along with Paul Wilson for Vision for Missions. Dan was involved with prison ministry in the Oklahoma City area.

Dan is survived by his wife Jane of the home; sons, Bryan Wilson and his wife Jodi of Bentonville, Ark., Matt Wilson of Bartlesville, and Kevin Wilson and his wife, Andi, of Bixby; grandchildren, Caleb, Trey, Jack, and Bode; three brothers, Bob Wilson of Marshfield, Mo., Tim Wilson of Bartlett, Tenn., and Tom Wilson of Joplin, Mo.; several nieces and nephews; and his grand-dogs.

Dan was preceded in death by his parents.

Memorials may be made to Oakwood Christian Church or Ozark Christian College, with Ladusau-Evans serving as custodian of funds.
