Carl Vernon Wilson was born July 12, 1933 in Beaver, Oklahoma to Zella Pearl and Walter Henry Wilson.
He passed away February 12, 2005 at Clinton, Oklahoma at the age of 71 years and 7 months.
Vernon moved with his parents to Perryton, Texas where he graduated from High School.
He joined the United States Navy and served his country during the Korean Conflict.
After his discharge he lived in Pomona, California and then back to Perryton, Texas.
He was married to Connie Yvonne Lacey at Perryton, Texas.
He worked as a rough neck before moving to Cheyenne in 19787 to make his home.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, one son, Walter Carl Wilson; and two brothers.
Graveside services were held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, February 15, 2005 at Ochiltree County Cemetery officiated by Rev. Tim Ramsey, of Perryton, Texas. Burial was under the direction of Rose Chapel Funeral Service, Cheyenne.
Survivors include two sons, Raymond Holt and wife, Jackie of Perryton, Texas; Ronnie Holt and wife, Andrea of Orange, California; two daughters, Yolanda Rodriguez and husband David of Terrell, North Carolina; Pandra Sosa and husband, Juan of Norwalk, California; nine grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
