George "Dean" Willson
November 15, 1946 ~ June 23, 2016

The funeral for George "Dean" Willson, 69 year-old Enid resident, will be 2:00PM Monday, June 27, 2016 in the Henninger-Hinson Funeral Home Chapel. Pastor Danny Willson will officiate. Cremation will follow the service.

Dean was born November 15, 1946 in Newport News, Virginia to Ferol and Rosalie (Harris) Willson and passed away Thursday, June 23, 2016 surrounded by his family in Enid. He attended local schools. On October 15, 1966, he married Mildred Meritt in Enid where the couple made their home.

He owned and operated Dean's Trucking for a decade and then went to work with the city of Enid for over 15 years. He liked NASCAR and was a Jimmie Johnson fan, a fan of the OKC Thunder and San Francisco 49�s. He was an avid fisherman and also enjoyed going to the casino. He especially liked to watch his grandchildren play sports.

He is survived by his wife, Mildred of the home; 7 children, Frank Hakel and wife, Kim; Tim Bonnewell and wife, Lori; Tammy; Telma; Tisha Willson, all of Enid; Trena Willson and husband, Rod; Terra Prince and husband, Mark of Lebanon, TN; adopted Mom, Ethel Krout; adopted son, Jeff Baker; god-daughter, Roseann Miller; 22 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; sister, Anna Clark; two brothers, Harold and James Willson as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Tonya; sister, Barbara Wall; two nieces and two nephews.

Memorials may be made through the funeral home in his name.
