Denise Kay (Malone) Willson
August 26, 1959 ~ May 11, 2022

Denise Kay Willson was born on August 26th, 1959 in Ponca City, OK to Ray Leon Malone and Sandra Sue (Hagen) Malone. She peacefully passed away on the evening of May 11th, 2022 in the comfort of her home surrounded by loved ones.

The second of four children, she spent most of her youth in Cashion, OK where she graduated high schoolin 1977. In the spring of 1978, she met and fell in love with Terry Lee Willson of Crescent, OK. They were married on February 16, 1979 at the First Methodist Church in Cashion. The young family moved home to Crescent shortly after the birth of the first of three active sons.

Denise enjoyed hiking and skiing in Utah and had also visited Italy and Ireland. She spent much of her later life traveling in Oklahoma and the southwest. She was always looking forward to the next holiday to make pies and candy and to spend time with friends and family. While her main passion in life was being a mother and homemaker, she did work several full and part-time jobs in the Crescent community. This included 15 years at Crescent Public Schools as teacher’s aide, lunchroom attendant and eventually high school secretary. She left this job to become a caregiver to three grand-daughters and her ailing family members.

She is survived by her husband Terry Willson of the home. Three sons: Travis Willson and wife Tara of Crescent, Joshua Willson of Edmond, OK. and Lucas Willson of Edmond, OK. She was blessed to be called “Grammy” by three beautiful granddaughters, Madilyn, Carter and Hagen. Two sisters, Sandy Malone and John Allread of Midwest City and Sabra Huntsberger and husband Jim of Yukon, OK. and one brother, Brett Malone and wife Kim of Crescent, alsonumerous nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her mother and father, Sandra and Leon Malone and her niece, Karli Nell and her father-in-law, Charles Willson.

She was a loving, caring woman who will be missed by all that had the joy of knowing her.

Memorial services will be 11:00 A.M. Monday, May 16, 2022 at the First Baptist Church in Crescent with Rev. Paul Montgomery officiating. Memorials can be made in Denise’s name to the Crescent FFA and 4-H
