Funeral services for Howard Wayne Williamson, 89, Medford, will be held on Thursday, February 25, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. in the Medford United Methodist Church with Pastor David D. Jenkins officiating. Committal prayers and interment will follow in Caldwell City Cemetery, Caldwell, Kansas, under the kind guidance of the Stittsworth Funeral Service, Medford..

Howard Wayne Williamson was born on April 7th, 1926, to Ralph and Ursie Williamson. He passed away on February 20th, 2016 at Bass Hospital in Enid, Oklahoma, at the age of 89 years and 11 months.

He grew up on a farm and attended school in Deer Creek, Oklahoma. Wayne served in the Army with Company C 15th Engineer Battalion during World War II and was honorably discharged on August 22, 1946. Wayne married Dorothy Ferda on October 28, 1951 in the Methodist Church in Bluff City, Kansas. They were blessed with two children, Teresa Eskelinen and Jack Williamson. He lived in the Renfrow-Medford Community all his life. Wayne was an electrician, farmer and rancher, mechanic, small engine repairman, and after retirement, he restored antique Ford tractors. Wayne and Dorothy were baptized together in 1953 at Caldwell Methodist Church where they were members. He served as Director of Kay Electric Cooperative for 16 years.

He was a member of the Masonic Lodge, VFW, Medford Chamber of Commerce and member of Medford Methodist Church.

He is survived by his wife, Dorothy, of the home; daughter, Teresa and husband (Vesa) Eskelinen of Belhaven, North Carolina and son Jack Williamson and his companion Jennifer Markham of Medford, Oklahoma; grandchildren, Steven and Christina Fox of Skaitook, Oklahoma, Robbie and Lindsey Fox of Paragould, Arkansas, Josh and Bridgitte Beck of Oak Grove, Kentucky, Jeff Roork of Independence, Missouri, Tyler Werntz of Independence, Missouri, and Tero and Sara Makkonen of Helsinki, Finland; Great-grandchildren, Anna, Ethan and Sadie Fox of Skaitook, Oklahoma, Oren Fox of Paragould, Arkansas, Baron, Jason, and Isaac Beck of Oak Grove, Kentucky, Sofie Eskelinen of Helsinki, Finland, and Ciandra and Jonas Makkonen of Helsinki, Finland. Sisters, Ruby Post of Michigan and Velma Paige of Blackwell, Oklahoma.

Wayne was preceded in death by his parents, Ralph and Ursie Wirtz Williamson, daughter, Gaylene Williamson and son Roger Williamson, grandsons, Sean Williamson and Baron Roork., Brothers, Roy Williamson, Dale Williamson, Vernie Williamson, and Lester Williamson, sisters, Mary Ann Hobbs and Ernestine Maruca.

The family has selected the Medford Masonic Lodge or the Medford Methodist Church, as appropriate for memorial donations.
