Vickie Michell Williams was born Wednesday, March 15, 1961 in Atoka, Oklahoma to John Albert Williams and Hazel Oneta (Shipman). She passed from this life on Tuesday, March 7th, 2023 in Durant, Oklahoma at the age of 61.
Vickie was raised and lived in Atoka most of her life and has resided in Bryan County the past twenty-eight years. Vickie worked as a pharmacy tech for Revco Industries in Denton, Texas for several years. She enjoyed being outside tending to her garden and house plants. She loved spending time with her grandchildren, great- granddaughter and sisters. Vickie recently surrendered her life to the Lord and was saved and baptized. Her family can attest this is the best decision that she or anyone else can make.
Vickie was preceded in death by her parents; a brother Stephen Williams; and uncle Marvin Shipman.
She is survived by her son Keith Hopkins Jr. of Durant; daughter Amanda Dawn Vandenburg of Kenefic, Oklahoma; sisters Carla Williams of Calera, OK, Karen Nicholson and her husband Rodney Gene of Ft. Worth, Texas, and Johna Jack of Durant; grandchildren Tyler Everett, Ashton Andrews, Payton Vandenburg, Scarlet Wright, Christian Hopkins, Colby Hopkins, Autumn Hopkins, Angel Hopkins, Kaleb Hopkins and Kyler Hopkins; a great-granddaughter Macy Everett; and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
Memorial services will be held at 5:00 PM on Saturday, March 11th, at Brown’s Funeral Home chapel.
