Troy Williams, age 68, of McCloud passed away on May 17, 2023. Troy Gene Williams was born on January 18, 1955 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, the 7th of 8 children born to Leon Williams and LaVelle (Turner) Tucker. He was primarily raised in Oklahoma City where he attended school up until the 10th grade, before entering straight into the work force.
He began working as a mechanic at Brown’s Garage, and this is where he found a true passion of his. Troy was a hardworking man and didn’t mind getting his hands a little dirty. He later ended up at JTB Construction. One of his biggest accomplishments in life was becoming a proud father to his two beautiful daughters, Cindy and Mellissa. His family meant the world to him, and he cherished every moment with them. He was always willing to lend a helping hand to anyone who needed it. Troy was also an avid outdoorsman. He enjoyed spending time at the lake, fishing, hunting, and was known for cooking his famous brisket and ribs. He also liked to build motors, boats, and hotrods. He was a beloved father, brother, and grandpa. He will be dearly missed!
He was preceded in death by his mother and stepfather, LaVelle and J.W. Tucker; his father, Leon Williams; sister, Kathy Mabrey; brothers, Donald Williams, Galen Tucker, David Williams, and Ted Williams.
Troy is survived by: his daughters, Cindy Williams of Blanchard and Mellissa (Jeret) Periman of Tuttle; sister, Sandra (Derrell) Brown of Jones; brother, Roy Williams (Denise Harding) of Choctaw; nephews, Roy J. Williams (Mindy) of Tuttle, Steven (Robin) Brown of Jones, Keith Brown of Jones; 7 grandchildren, Jaden Periman, Camden Periman, Hadley Periman, Hudsen Periman, Henley Periman, Logan Rasure, Adelyn Rasure, and a host of other family and friends.
